Advanced Applied Channel Theory Workshop -
June 20 - 21
We are excited to announce the return of Jonathan Chang for a two day advanced workshop on July 20 – 21, 2020!
This workshop is designed for participants who have taken the introductory channel palpation workshop (Module I) and/or the advanced workshop on channel differentiation and channel selection (Module II).
During the first workshop, students mainly learned how to examine the channels, with a focus on channel palpation. In Module II, methods of channel differentiation and channel selection were covered.
For this advanced workshop, the focus will be on:
1) Clinical Case Presentations: Depression, Headaches, Gynaecological Disorders and Low Back Pain.
2) Wang Ju-yi's Point Locations (focus on palpation)
3) Common Point Pairs
Through case presentations, the clinical application of the material covered in Modules I and II will be discussed. This includes discussion on the integration of methods of channel examination, channel differentiation, channel selection and point selection. By analyzing the treatment of different disorders, participants should develop a clearer understanding of the Applied Channel Theory system.
Another focus of the course will be a continued discussion on Dr. Wang’s common point pairs, and their locations. Emphasis will be on learning how to palpate for these points. Students will learn that each point has its own unique structure, and that in order to locate each point, they have to be carefully palpated.
In essence, this is also a practical course with techniques and methods that can be applied immediately in a clinical setting. After taking this course, we hope the students will leave with the confidence to apply this method in a clinical setting.
Anyone who has previously taken Applied Channel Theory (module I and/or II) with Jonathan Chang.
