Basic Self Defence
Begins January 18, 2020

Regular price $125.00 Special Offer

    Description:

Self defence is a complicated scenario. Unfortunately, most material taught in ‘quick fix’ courses is not realistically applicable in real life, and in fact, it could get you hurt.

However, even in a short time, some useful fundamentals can be established. These fundamentals can not only help improve a person’s likelihood of navigating a stressful or dangerous situation, they can also enlighten someone to their personal areas of weakness. Knowing your weakness gives you the insight to establish realistic training goals and more importantly, preemptively know what situations you will be challenged by.

This workshop will consist of basic reaction training, awareness education, avoidance strategies and mental preparation. It will involve some cooperative contact, as well as some that are semi-uncooperative. Participants should be comfortable with close contact, lying on the ground, and most importantly, be ready to challenge their understanding of themselves under stress.
