Jane is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), as well as a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP).

Chinese Medicine, with its simplicity and common-sense approach, offers many ways to improve the health of both body and mind. Its teachings aligned with my experience as a professional dancer, where I became aware that the body works best, and could even change for the better, using balance and subtle directed energy. My father, a doctor, taught me that people’s bodies are always telling us something, and that I should be curious and observant.

In 1978 I was introduced to the concept of Qi. It was through the study and practice of Tai Qi that I began a lifelong appreciation of the Eastern approach to the health of body/mind. My formal training in Chinese Medicine began at AIM in 2015, and continued at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, where I received my diploma in Acupuncture in 2018, and in Herbs in 2019.

I am currently working to attain my Advanced TCMP diploma. I have been treating patients since 2016, in student clinics and privately, and have been prescribing herbs since 2019.

Treatments are beneficial for:

  • Muscular-skeletal pain, chronic and acute
  • Digestive concerns
  • Stress, anxiety, depression
  • Insomnia
  • Low energy
  • Chronic diseases
  • Women’s concerns, including menstrual and menopause

My emphasis is on herbal treatments; however, I like to combine many modalities. Collaborating with my patients, a healing plan evolves, including clinic treatments, which can include herbs, acupuncture, tuina, cupping, guasha or moxa, and home care, including diet, teas and Qi Gong exercises. The goal is to address my patients’ health concerns by aligning treatment with their lifestyle, their time of life and the season of the year.
